I bought this for my wife who is a keen gardener but suffers from arthritis in her hands and wrists. I chose this model because it uses deWalt batteries which I have already. First impression was Yikes, the blade moves very quickly so it needs to be used with great care and be kept well away from children. Anyway, on the first sunny day out she goes to give it a nervous try. Wow! She went round the garden like a Tasmanian Devil and did all the pruning in record time with no hint of any aches or pains. She didn’t cut anything much thicker than 10mm or so but it went through lots of branches without any problem whatsoever. However, I fear that it would do the same to a finger. In summary, this is a very effective tool but needs to be handled with utmost care.

Exceptional piece of kit well recommended, unfortunately a battery & charger needs to be purchased. To be fair it do's specify battery not included but as it was a gift the purchaser did not realize that.

The media could not be loaded. Having limited use in my right hand and being paralysed on my left side, I found it incredibly difficult to prune the roses or keep my laurel bush in good shape, but honestly, this little gem, it’s ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, it cuts up to 1 inch thick stems like it’s a red hot knife cutting butter. A bit of getting used to with getting it to power up. Once you get started this thing works too good. Light and cuts small branches with ease. I found myself looking for things to prune. **Be Careful when using it and DO NOT let kids play with it.

Cuts 3/4" branches with ease. Comes with a spare cutting blade. No more cramped hands trimming our bushes and trees. Was very surprised how powerful this tool is. Even using the smallest battery it lasts all day without recharging. Very satisfied! The use instructions are not clear, it can appear to be broken when it is fuctioning normally. To use press the on off button until the light comes on. Then pull the trigger two times. The instructions do not state this, but you have to pull the trigger 2 times quickly, then it will make some beeps and only then it is fully turned on. If it doesn't beep you did not pull the trigger fast enough. Child safety I guess. No beeps you cannot use it. Wear thick leather or no cut gloves and keep body parts clear of the blade. The cutting action occurs in a fraction of a second, it will extremely easily cut through bone. Fingers will be removed without warning, like a bad Mafia movie! Do not let children use. Turn off when not using to prevent accidental activation. This tool should be treated with due respect! It is scary quick and powerful. I really can't emphasis this enough. 340 / 5 000 Good tool, very affordable price, uses batteries from a brand of tools I already have. ON/OFF button, replacement blade set included. A bit of a wait time before the tool actually starts working after turning it on. Automatically turns off after about a minute of non-use. This is a bit an annoying feature. Very good value, powerful and reliable. I own it for one year now. No complaint.

Works amazing lots of power, fast and very sharp. Just took a bit to figure how to turn it on. You have turn it on then pull the trigger twice very fast to turn safety off. Only used it for 3 hours so far with no issues
